Hannah Ralph Represents Blackmoor in the Ladies Open Gold Challenge Cup

Hannah Represents Blackmoor: Ahead of the Hampshire County Golf excitement next week, we thought it fitting to mention the success of our LET Professional Hannah Ralph in the recent Ladies Open Gold Challenge Cup.

On Saturday 5th April the Ladies Open Gold Challenge Cup was held at Roehampton Golf Club. The tournament celebrates its 100th anniversary next year and for that reason is considered one of the most prestigious and unique tournaments for both Professionals and Amateurs to play in, and attracts the best women golfers in the country. There are some very well known names on the trophy, including Blackmoor’s new coach, Hannah Ralph, who won it in 2015.

On a cold and fairly windy day, Hannah set out on the first round. She played quite well, but sadly couldn’t convert some birdie opportunities. By the second round she had learned more, as the course was playing really tough - dry, hard and greens playing close to 12 on the stimp when wind assisted! With only a 15 minute ‘break’ she started the second round, hoping it would be quicker than the 4.5 hours of the 1st round! It was marginally quicker and Hannah was pleased to be striking the ball well again, to shoot a lower score in the afternoon.

In her first tournament representing Blackmoor, she finished a very respectable 3rd Professional and 6th overall out of 50 competitors and was delighted to get the season off to a good start.

Many congratulations Hannah.
