Blackmoor prides itself on having a very active Ladies Golf section with close to 100 members regularly playing golf at the club.
Ladies are increasingly recognising the benefits golf presents, such as keeping fit, socialising, spending time outdoors and relaxing in a beautiful environment.
Along with the many social and physical aspects of the game, one of the advantages of joining Blackmoor is being able to play the course all year. The exceptional 18-hole golf course sits comfortably on the Hampshire and Surrey sand belt, an enviable position that helps to support the excellent course drainage. Avoiding the inconvenience of winter closures and rarely needing temporary greens, play at Blackmoor continues throughout the winter months relatively undisturbed and without the need to carry clubs, something which members and visitors greatly appreciate.
Blackmoor is a friendly and welcoming club that has a men's, ladies, senior and junior section. As well as playing in their own events, members enjoy a variety of mixed social golf competitions, that are always well subscribed and often include a social element. There are regular weekend and midweek stablefords that are open to all members and many mixed friendlies with other clubs.
Social events are an important part of Blackmoor and members are invited to attend a number of themed evenings, Captain's Days and New Year celebrations. Recent, notable events include a Fawlty Towers dinner and an evening with Masterchef former winner Shelina Permaloo.
